This gorgeous pendant has been handpainted in the Art Nouveau style. This style was inspired by Alphonse Mucha, a well known Czech painter, and decorative artist. His work frequently featured beautiful women in flowery neoclassic looking robes, often surrounded by lush flowers, which sometimes formed halos behind the women's heads. “Amethyst” is one of the best examples of  Mucha’s vision of beauty. On a round piece of mother of pearl Russian artist painted a reproduction of “Amethyst”.
